About Camp Agape
For over 40 years, the Presbytery of South Louisiana has ministered to children and youth from all over the state through its summer camp programs.
Parents who attended Camp Agape as campers are now sharing the joy with their children, who are enjoying the same camp traditions and spirit their parents treasured with the addition of some new traditions and activities.
Camp Agape is such a special experience that campers don't want to leave when they graduate. A large portion of our volunteer camp staff is made up of former campers who return as senior interns and work their way up to camp counselors. With so much love for this place, our volunteers return year after year, which makes camp so much more fun. Our campers love seeing the same camp staff each year. It adds an extra level of familiarity and the feeling of a family reunion.
If you are new to summer camps, this is the camp for you. With just under 100 campers grouped into three age groups, we are a small community with a huge heart. Agape means unconditional love. Our goal for every camper is that they feel the unconditional love of Christ from our camp community and learn how to love others with that same love.

“Finding a community that I belong in.”
